Run With It’s Couch to 5K

 Training Program for Beginners

Start: Orientation- Thursday, August 24th @ 6:00pm.  We will also do our first walk so dress accordingly!

Meets: Saturdays at- 8am and Tues & Thurs at 6pm

Fee: 5K Program- $60, (alumni $10 discount)

Includes: Weekly training schedules, 3 sessions per week with group leaders, T-shirt, 10% discount at Run With It, FB group, cross training sessions and much more…

5K program: 8 weeks.  The goal race is the Wicked Triple Fun Run 5K, October 21st.

$5 discount on the WTFR 5K entry fee!

Goals: Run or walk/run a 5K (3.1miles) and cross the finish line with a smile on your face! 🙂

Details: Sign-up and orientation is August 24th promptly at 6pm.  We will also have our first walk.  Wear appropriate clothing for exercising in hot weather.  Shorts, light colored clothing, sunglasses or cap, proper shoes and a water bottle!  If you need running shoes or other gear we can fit you after the first session or come see us before the program starts.

This training program is designed for beginner runners or former runners who want to get back into shape.  Each training run will be led by a group leader who will help you develop the skills you need to successfully complete a 5K race.

If possible start walking now to begin getting in shape and facilitating positive habits.  Try walking 2 to 3 times a week for 20mins.
